Norfolk & Suffolk Branch are hosting a branch CPD event this May on ‘Timber Frame Construction in Fire Engineering’.
Taking place on 24 May 2017 the Branch AGM and Conference will take place at Adastral Park, Martlesham Heath, Ipswich starting with the AGM at 9am followed by the conference.
The speakers will be Neil Gibbins, Dr Barbara Lane (Arup), Andrew Carpenter (Structural Timber Association), Gary Howe (Zurich) and a Fire & Rescue Service Officer (TBC).
There will be a charge for this event. More details on the event will be sent out in due course. This event is also open to non IFE Members. I was delighted to see 10 Branch members gather in December for an initial meeting to comment and give shape to the new look of the Branch. If members would like to be involved as a member of the Branch Committee, please get in touch with me or IFE Head Office, where details of what roles form a Branch Committee and those which a Branch can decide what and how it wants to develop and needs role references for, such as a CPD events co-ordinating team; 1 or 2 who look after sponsorship and marketing; Exams co-ordinator for the IFE’s exam centres within the Branch; and there are other assistant roles.
